Terms of Use
The expectations that govern use of the BetterEd platform, the School Health Index™, and BetterEd intellectual property.
Who may use the platform
The BetterEd portal is intended for school, network, and district leaders acting on behalf of their institution. By creating an account and submitting organizational information, a leader represents that they are authorized to share that information for the purpose of an institutional diagnostic and advisory engagement.
Accounts and access
- Accounts are individual. Credentials should not be shared, and access should be requested for each colleague who needs it.
- Organization administrators are responsible for who they invite into their organization's workspace.
- BetterEd staff access is limited by role, and reviewer access is limited to assigned engagements.
How to read a diagnostic result
The BetterEd School Health Index™ produces a structured institutional diagnostic based on the responses and documentation an organization provides. Preliminary results are generated automatically from those responses. A final report is issued only after BetterEd expert review, approval, and publication.
- Results describe institutional conditions; they are not a rating, accreditation, certification, ranking, or compliance determination.
- Accuracy depends on the accuracy and completeness of the information submitted.
- Reports are prepared for the submitting organization's internal decision-making and are not an audit, legal opinion, or financial assurance.
- A reviewer may adjust a score where evidence supports it; the original calculated value, the rationale, and the approval are retained in the record.
Content you submit
Organizations retain ownership of the information and documentation they submit and grant BetterEd the permission needed to process it, produce diagnostics and reports, and conduct expert review. Leaders must not upload student-level records, individually identifiable personnel records, or material they lack the right to share.
BetterEd intellectual property
The BetterEd School Health Index™, the BetterEd Vitamins™, the BetterEd medical model, the BetterEd Health Portal™ and Command Center™ concepts, the diagnostic instrument, its domain architecture, scoring methodology, classification bands, and report formats are the intellectual property of BetterEd Solutions. They may not be copied, resold, republished, or used to construct a competing diagnostic instrument without written permission.
Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to access another organization's records, reports, or evidence.
- Do not probe, scan, or attempt to defeat platform access controls.
- Do not upload malicious files or attempt to disrupt platform availability.
- Do not misrepresent a preliminary result as a BetterEd-approved final report.
Availability and change
Portions of the platform are identified in the interface as concept previews. Where a feature is labeled as a concept preview, it is not yet an operating service and should not be relied on for institutional decisions. BetterEd may add, change, or withdraw features as the platform develops.
Fees and engagements
Advisory, transformation, academy, and talent engagements are governed by a separate written agreement between BetterEd Solutions and the client organization. Nothing on this website constitutes an offer, a price quotation, or a binding commitment to deliver services.
Terms still under legal review
Binding commercial terms — including warranties and disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, governing law, and termination — are being finalized by BetterEd’s counsel. They will be published here as an approved, versioned document. Until then, this page describes expected use of the platform and does not substitute for the executed agreement governing a client engagement.
